Gender equality issues, in the public and private sphere, has been my main concern during my life. A feminist and trade-unions activist in the 70s, an EC expert in two EU networks in the 80s and 90s, a European Parliament member (1997-2004), chair of EP Women's Rights and Gender Equality Committee, writer of many articles, MSc in European and International Studies, PhD in Political Science and Public Administration, Book in comparative analysis of the impact of European gender policy on the europeanisation process, in Greece and Turkey (academic research). Founder and Vice-president of the Greek Political Association of Women. Gender advocate, coach and mentor.

As a feminist and trade unionist in the Greek Telecom (OTE), for 23 years, contributed in lifting discriminations against women and brought many positive changes in favor of gender equality, like recruitment of women in all "male" sectors and advancing women's careers. 1983-1990, national expert in EC Network on "Diversification of Women's Professional Choices", 1992-1996 national expert of EC Network, "Women in Decision- making Process", 1993-1996 Project manager of a Center for Professional Training of Women in New Technologies, 1997-2004 MEP, 2002-2004 Chairperson of EP Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality, 2004-2013 post graduate studies and research activities (MSc in European and International Politics, and a doctorate in Political Science and Public Administration, both with honors), 2013-2015 writer of a book of 700 pages, on the Europeanisation of Gender Policy in Greece and Turkey-a comparative analysis. At the same period, a 3 month intensive training course in coaching leadership plus feminist-political activism. Currently, I am writing a book on multiculturalism and pluralism.
