Bringing education and subject specialists together with social scientists, psychologists and neuroscientists, the conference aims to start a discussion about current research into gender and education.
The conference, chaired by Dame Barbara Stocking, will open with an introduction from Caroline Dinenage, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State Women, Equalities and Family Justice at the Ministry of Justice and the launch of our Opening Doors guide. Professor Louise Archer, Dr Stephanie Burnett Heyes, Dr Gijsbert Stoet will discuss current research in the fields of sociology, neuroscience and psychology. An afternoon panel discussion will give delegates the opportunity to ask questions about research, current practice in schools and the Opening Doors report.
