I am currently a PhD Candidate in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Human Factors at Penn State University. I worked with design teams and sociometric badges during 2016 and 2017 to examine whether we could capture team interactions during design stages and determine whether these interactions impacted decision making throughout the design process. We experienced several challenges when working with the sociometric badges, and published a conference paper in the IDETC 2017 conference to discuss the potential design applications that they may be used for.
