About (English translation)
The Fondation Nationale des Sciences Politiques (Sciences Po) is a fully-fledged, self-governing research university specialised in the social-economic sciences and the humanities which enrols some 11,000 students per year, including 40% of foreign students from more than 130 countries. Sciences Po is the leading research institution in social sciences in France with 60 full-time professors, more than 200 researchers, 80 foreign professors invited each year and 400 academic partnerships with universities around the world. Sciences Po is home to a doctoral school offering 7 graduate programmes. Based on a multi-disciplinary approach, it associates and combines skills and know-how from the different social sciences – in particular economy, history, political science and sociology and the humanities.

It hosts the richest library in humanities and social sciences in continental Europe. Its publishing house, Les Presses de Sciences Po, has over 1000 titles and six academic journals in its catalogue. Sciences Po also hosts 10 research centres, of which 5 are closely linked to the National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), third party to EGERA. Sciences Po facilitates their full participation in the European Research Area, as 17 of its research teams have been involved in FP6, and 30 in FP7. Sciences Po is a signatory of The European Charter for Researchers and The Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers and fully supports the principles set out in its recommendations. The full endorsement of the objectives drawn in the present call and of those set up in the GEAP annexed to this project, accounts for the support of Sciences Po to the promotion of gender equality in research and the academia.
