The intervention strategy is the main policy recommendation from a study Ginther and others conducted on the gender gap in academic sciences since 2000, which has improved greatly in some academic areas.

Ginther is a University of Kansas professor of economics and director of KU's Center for Science, Technology & Economic Policy at the Institute for Policy & Social Research.
