About (English version)
PLOTINA is a project funded by the European Commission's Horizon 2020 framework and it aims at enabling the development, implementation and assessment of self-tailored Gender Equality Plans (GEPs) with innovative and sustainable strategies for the Research Performing Organisations (RPOs) involved.
PLOTINA is based on the premise that gender issues need to be integral and not supplemental both to scientific research culture and curricula. The PLOTINA programme is structured around three fundamental goals:
1. Preventing underutilization of qualified women researchers
2. Improving decision making by addressing gender imbalances
3. Incorporating the sex/gender dimension variable in research, especially where it is traditionally not applied
The project Consortium involves 10 partners covering 7 European countries and one associated country.
