Dear all,
We are very happy to announce that YSI Gender and Economics Working Group will be at the 27th IAFFE Annual Conference in SUNY New Paltz, New York USA (18-21 June 2018). The WG will host an event during the pre-conference (18th of June 2018), and the members of the WG will also be welcomed to take part to the workshop and mentoring activities organized by IAFFE in the pre-conference. The YSI event will consist in paper presentations by the members of the WG, and discussions about the future projects of the WG. Moreover, during the conference (19-21 June 2018), the WG will organize a panel with a selected number of papers and a poster session, where all the members of the WG will be invited to showcase their research projects.
Our events provide a networking and discussion forum for different areas of feminist economics with a focus on the sexual division of labour. Without lending priority to any particular perspective, we welcome papers that feed into division of labour between women and men in private and public life, in paid and unpaid work. These include the analyses of the impact of social-institutional rules, norms and practices on the allocation of different jobs or types of work to women and men, related to vertical and horizontal segregation of women in the labour market.
Abstracts (max 400 words) must be submitted before April 27, 2018. YSI will provide accommodation for a limited number of participants, and 4 travel stipends for participants traveling from outside US. If you would like to apply for accommodation and/or travel stipends please indicate so in your submission.

All the best,
