Dobbo, Temesgen Lerebo is a PhD graduate in educational leadership and policy from Beijing Normal University. He also has an MA degree in Management of vocational education and a BA degree in foreign languages and literature in Ethiopia.
Temesgen has seven (7) years of practical experience in the field of social development, with expertise in collecting and organizing international benchmarks, designing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the policies and strategic plans/programs/projects as well as making them sustainable. He has extensive experience establishing relationships and contacts with government, donors, social, partners, the private sector, and civil society organizations in empowerment and creating an opportunity for young people.
Temesgen is an active member, contributor, and leader for several international, continental, and national professional associations, unions, and civil society/networks such as Africa Youth Commission, African Youth Movement, African Leaders Initiative, World Youth Alliance, UNESCO-UNEVOC, GNDR, The GenPORT, Global Entrepreneurship Network, Education Strategy Group, International Student Union at Beijing Normal University, YALI among others. He is a founder of Light 4 Generational Development Association and a Board Coordinator. He is also serving as a Skillman Counselor in the Skillman. eu network since 2018 to date.
Temesgen is very interested in teaching and researching policies and strategies in the education sector focusing on the TVET sub-sector at both national and international levels, with a particular emphasis on youth employment, adaptive match skills development (cooperative training), Labour market needs, and skills requirements, strategy, and strategic decision-making. In his doctoral dissertation, he also examined the Ethiopian education sector's strategic decision-making processes and practices and contributed a new decision-making model for the Ethiopian education sector.
He has several research papers that have been published and going to be published. Temesgen also serves as an Editorial Board Member and Reviewer for several international journals in the field of education such as the World Journal of Education and Humanities the European Journal of Educational Science; and Author AID.
Finally, Temesgen has impeccable sound communication with a very flexible and adaptable approach to work, he enjoys taking on new challenges as this allows me to grow, learn new things, and enhance himself
