I am Italian, and have been living in Germany since 2001. I am married and have two children. I love skiing, other outdoor activities and travelling.
About you (please use English)
I work as Project Officer in the EMBO Science Policy team. I contribute to research on policy implications in areas such as genomics, biotechnology, research integrity and gender issues in science. I was one of the authors of the recently produced report Exploring Quotas in Academia. From 2001 to 2011 I worked in the EMBO Science and Society Programme, organizing activities and events to promote public understanding of science and to foster discussions on the ethical aspects of scientific research. I have a background in applied linguistics and did research at the University of Heidelberg, Germany, before joining EMBO in 2001.

I was one of the authors of a report of an EMBO policy study of the effects of gender quotas to increase the participation of women in leadership positions in academic science in Europe, done in collaboration with and funded by the Robert Bosch Stiftung.
