I am a science stakeholder relations expert currently pursuing my career at South Africa’s National Research Foundation (NRF). As a project specialist at the NRF, my major time responsibility is to lead NRF's contributions to a multi-stakeholder and multi-agency programme, the Science Granting Councils Initiative in sub-Saharan Africa (SGCI), seeking to strengthen the capacities of Science Granting Councils (SGCs) in 16 African countries, in order to support research and evidence-based policies that will contribute to economic and social development.

As part of the OWSD SA National Chapter and in my previous role at ASSAf, i provide strategic advice regarding the implementation of OWSD activities. I have previously led the production of the following reports:

b. The State of Women in Science and Technology in Swaziland: Results of a Survey (2012)
c. Participation of women and girls in the national STI system in South Africa based on the Gender Equality – Knowledge Society Framework: A Report by the Academy of Science of South Africa (2011)

I am currently actively engaged in conversations around gender dimensions to the work of science granting councils with a focus on the African continent.
