About you (please use English)
Currently a Professor in the Ulster Business School, Ulster University, UK. I have recently completed a research project which investigated various gender equality issues (i.e. flexible working, work life balance, organisational culture, recruitment and progression, initiatives to improve gender equality) at the executive or the most senior levels of the Northern Ireland public sector (civil service, local government, health, education and arms length bodies). This project involved conducting an analysis of 143 public sector organistions, undertaking a survey (3,186 responses) and conducing interviews (107) with both male and female, current and aspiring executives. I have/am also involved in developing the Gender Equality Strategy for Northern Ireland, investigating pregnancy discrimination, and enhancing gender equality/diversity of non-executives appointments on public boards within Northern Ireland.
