Maria Jose Romano

I am graduated in Social Anthropology and in Audiovisual Communication, and postgraduate in Applied Social Research and Strategic Communication. Nowadays, I am a Research Assistant at the Gender and ICT research group at the Internet Interdisciplinary Institute (IN3 - Universitat Oberta de Catalunya), where I support different projects in data collection and fieldwork, as well as drafting reports, implementing the communication strategy and organizing scientific activities and social events. Previously, I have worked as a research assistant in several projects at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili in the fields of Communication and Cultural studies. Throughout my professional career, I have also been a project coordinator in the NGO environmental sector and consultant in Corporate Social Responsibility and Gender equality in the public sector, carrying out assessment studies and action plans. I have conducted research on the social memory of the Spanish Civil War and Franco’s dictatorship recreated in oral history and in social media networks.
