EFFORTI Evaluation Framework for Promoting Gender Equality in Research and Innovation

Designing an Evaluation Framework for Promoting Gender Equality in Research and Innovation is a project that will come to an end in May 2019. A final public event is foreseen on the 21st and 22nd of May 2019. The project has developed an evaluation framework in terms of an off- and online toolbox to show potential outputs, outcomes and impacts of a variety of Gender Equality (GE) policies, from mentoring to the implementation of gender equality plans. It has put great emphasis on the integration of different context factors at team, organisational and country level that may shape the effectiveness and efficiency of GE policies.

The EFFORTI project's outputs are a significant source of evidence on potential impacts of all aspects of Gender Equality for society, the economy and science itself. The event should help cross-fertilise thinking on policies and indicators being developed for FP9 (Horizon Europe) and the benefits that can be expected from gender equality policies. The public event will offer the opportunity to discuss and validate the main results in a joint exercise. A series of participatory workshops will allow the participants representing the different stakeholder groups to comment on specific aspects related to future policy actions.
