Welcome to Vienna‘s Citizen Science Café!

Coffee shop atmosphere meets citizen science! On the occasion of the Austrian Researchers‘ Night 2018 young people between 13 and 18 are invited to meet and have a cup of coffee with 15 scientists from different disciplines in the relaxing atmosphere of a science café. Learn more about career possibilities in STEM and how citizen science projects throughout Austria are looking for your support!

It’s all about the dialogue! A science café enables open and informal conversations between researchers and visitors. You are going to sit around coffee tables in small groups, discuss about hot science topics, share opinions and ask questions. Most importantly, be curious and tell us what you think!

The Citizen Science Café is organized by the Natural History Museum Vienna in cooperation with the Plattform Österreich forscht, the Association ScienceCenter-Network and the Zentrum für Citizen Science and conducted under the label of Hypatia. More information here.
