Portia is an NGO promoting gender equality and the greater appreciation of the gender dimension in Science. Established at Imperial College London in the late nineties, Portia runs a range of projects through partnerships with other related stakeholders all over the world. Portia's work ranges from activites aimed at supporting individuals to overcome gender bias in their careers to supporting international policy development.
