Submitted by Elizabeth Pollitzer on Fri, 07/19/2013 - 16:55
About (original language)

The report demonstrates radiation risks from medical x-ray examinations, evaluated as a function of the age and sex of the patient in terms, separately, of the lifetime risk of radiation- induced cancer to the patient and the risk of deleterious heritable effects appearing in the progeny of the patient.  The risk for women is shown as being significantly higher than for men, and that these differences are the greates in the young and the lowest in the old.

About (English version)

This report (HPA-CRCE-028) examines the lifetime risk of radiation-induced cancer to the patient and the risk of harmful heritable effects in their children.
