About you (please use English)
Lia Lang studied in Munich, Stockholm and Berlin and holds a master degree in gender studies from the Humboldt University. She worked as a Project Manager in the overall coordination team in the Horizon 2020 project GENERA (2015 – 2018) aiming to improve Gender Equality within the European Research Area. GENERA had a field-specific approach focussing on the implementing of GEPs in the European physics community. Currently she is involved in the European Project ACT supporting “Communities of Practices” for institutional change on gender equality in ERA. Lia serves as a Community of Practice facilitator for the GENERA Network (2018 - dato) and leading a Work Package in the ACT Project with her team.

Prior to that Lia Lang was involved in studies on women in the field of science and industry at the Fraunhofer Center for Responsible Research and Innovation.

Additionally, she is enjoys working as a junior consultant for early career development.
Her research interests are processes of change and in particular gender and diversity within science, gender and physics, mentoring and empowerment. Key focus is on how to put gender and diversity into practice.

She is based in Berlin and Hamburg (Germany) at a Research Centre of the Helmholtz Assoziation.
The Research Center DESY is one of the world’s leading accelerator centres supporting especially basic research in physics.
