About (English version):

Governments and education policy makers are increasingly concerned with equity and inclusion in education due to several major global trends such as demographic shifts, migration and refugee crises, rising inequalities, and climate change. These developments have contributed to increasing diversity within national populations and flagged some concerns around the ability of education systems to be equitable and inclusive of all students. This report by the Strength through Diversity project examines how education systems can respond to increasing diversity and foster greater equity and inclusion in education. Based on a holistic framework for studying diversity, equity and inclusion in education, the report examines five key policy areas (i.e., governance; resourcing; capacity building; school-level interventions, and monitoring and evaluation), provides examples of policies and practices, and offers policy advice on promoting more equitable and inclusive education systems.

About (original language):

¿Tienen las mujeres un enfoque diferente al de los hombres a la hora de establecer teorías sociológicas?

About (English version):

This work aims to serve to give new impetus to the already active social task of recognizing women as people who contributed knowledge to the world. Each discipline is in charge of repositioning women in the place they should be. From Sociology we must also redeem ourselves. One approach would be to retroactively canonize women who, since classical times, have done important scientific work. It is not just about a necessary and fair academic recognition, but rather it is intended to achieve, over time, a real change in the social imaginary that undervalues the feminine, root of innumerable social problems of gender coexistence nowadays that result in high spending through policies of equality and prevention of women's rights. Viewing alike is essential.

About (English version):

Establishing a Gender Equality Committee is a key way for institutions to show commitment towards workplace gender equality and drive change towards a more diverse and inclusive culture. But it can be challenging to even know where to start.

In this guidelines, we have put together advice, based on the collective experience of the research centres at the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB), that we hope will be useful to others to start this path.

About (English version):

As part of its commitment to making gender equality a reality, from 2022, the European Commission will require that a Gender Equality Plan (GEP) is in place for individual organisations applying to Horizon Europe for funding.

Considering the unique position of, and the lack of specific guidance for Research and Innovation Funding Organisations, this guide aims to support the establishment and monitoring of GEPs and the monitoring of their effect on external-facing stakeholders within the activities of R&IFOs. This guide is designed specifically for R&IFOs to support them in collecting gender-related data, and provides practical information to R&IFOs regarding rationale for, special considerations and specific areas of inclusion in data collection practices. By following a consistent approach to data collection across international funding agencies, informed by European legislation and identified good practice, R&IFOs will be supported in assessing progress against gender equality targets and performing benchmarking practices, allowing them to identify areas that require further action.
