About (original language):

About (English version):

The Database includes articles investigating both strictly biological differences between the sexes (sex-specific analyses) and manuscripts detailing the role of psychosocial, economical and cultural aspects as causes for differences between women and men (gender-specific analysis).

More than 30.000 abstracts have been screened and more then 12000 are currently included in GenderMedDB. Articles are being screened daily, as they are published in PubMed. Thus, GenderMedDB is a tool for all the scholars, physicians, students, researchers, health-care professionals and many more interested in sex and gender-specific literature.

About (English version):

Let there be no misunderstanding. The economic problems that our profession faces are not caused by a female-dominated workforce, any more than they are caused by the accreditation of new schools. It seems that whenever the topic of gender is raised, a perception of blame follows.1 There is no blame to be assigned, just understanding to be sought. Despite repeated costly attempts that leadship believe show otherwise, no one is yet in a position to accurately capture and analyze this trend, or emerging trends. This lack of analytical ability handicaps the profession's response ability.
