IEEE WIE esforça-se para:
reconhecer as fantásticas realizações das mulheres na Engenharia Eléctrica e Electrónica;
organizar eventos nas principais conferências técnicas para aumentar as redes de contactos e para promover membros para WIE;
educar mulheres para papéis de liderança no IEEE e no avanço da carreira para mulheres nas suas profissões;
facilitar o desenvolvimento de programas e actividades que promovam a entrada e a retenção de mulheres nos programas de engenharia.

Mission and Vision of IEEE WIE
The mission of IEEE WIE is to inspire, captivate, encourage, and empower IEEE women worldwide. IEEE WIE provides a vibrant community of women and men innovating the world of tomorrow.
IEEE WIE strives to:
recognize the fantastic achievements of women in Electrical and Electronic Engineering;
organize events in major technical conferences to enhance networking and to promote members to WIE;
educating women for leadership roles in the IEEE and career advancement for women in their professions;
facilitate the development of programs and activities that promote the entry into and retention of women in engineering programs.
On March 15, 2010 was signed by Filomena Soares, Celina Pinto Leão, Sandra Costa and Inês Martins created the WIE affinity group Portugal.
On June 6, 2010, the group received a letter of approval of the creation of affinity group, unique in Portugal.
Includegender.org is a Swedish national resource for gender equality. The portal offers information and news about gender equality as well as practical examples of and concrete tools for gender equality work. Includegender.org was launched in December 2009 and is a unique Swedish cooperative venture involving the European Social Fund, the National Secretariat for Gender Research, the County Administrative Board, the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions and the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems (VINNOVA). From 2011 to 2013, Includegender.org was funded via the programme for sustainable gender equality hosted by the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions. Starting in 2014, the portal is funded by the Swedish Government as provided in the official assignment U2013/377/JÄM. The assignment is ongoing throughout the year, and consists of extensive development of Includegender.org and provision of support to government agencies in their gender mainstreaming work, GMGA. Includegender.org offers: * Information and facts about gender equality. We explain the difference between equal treatment, gender equality and gender mainstreaming, give a historical review and explain theories and concepts. * The latest gender equality news and tips on conferences, seminars and job openings with a gender equality profile. * Practical examples and concrete tools for gender equality work. We provide educational material, examples of gender equality in practice and tools to make high-quality gender equality work easy.
