Interuniversity doctoral studies in gender: cultures, societies and politics is organized by the l'Institut Interuniversitària en Estudis de Dones i Gènere (iiEDG) based upon the cooperation of research groups by the Autonomous University of Barcelona, University of Barcelona, University of Girona, University of Vic and University Rovira i Virgili.
It's principle research lines are:
1. Territory, migration and globalization
2. Labour, time and markets
3. Identities, relations and groups: social constructions and rights
4. Social movements, activism, gender politics
5. Power relations and patriarchical violence
6. Education and values
7. Health: promotion, technologies and diversity
8. Language, communication and art productions.
10 places are offered on an annual basis.

The CUSO “Gender Studies” doctoral programme is a platform of exchange for doctoral

students whose work encompasses a gender perspective. While maintaining a stream of

continuity with the “Ecole doctoral lémanique (2002-2008) and the “Ecole doctorale romande” in

Gender Studies (2008-2011), this new doctoral programme will consolidate knowledge as well

as widen the institutional and disciplinary scope.

The CUSO “Gender Studies” doctoral programme unites five institutions in Switzerland (IHEID

(direction), University of Fribourg, University of Geneva, University of Lausanne and Neuchâtel).

It is also affiliated with the Network Gender Studies Switzerland.

PhD programme in Gender Studies: Embodiment – Gender – Construction: aesthetic and social practices. The interdisciplinary PhD programme in Gender Studies at the University of Zurich offers PhD students across disciplines an education in Gender Studies. Apart from the work carried out in their respective fields, the PhD candidates acquire a broad and solid knoweldge about gender. It offers an interdisciplinary, additional qualification through local, national and international events and networks.
