Gender Diversity Impact. Improving Research and Innovaton through Gender Diversity. Policy Brief 1/6
EU policy has been a persistent force for advancing towards a more gender equal academia. Various cycles of revised policy making have gone from “fiing” the women (e.g. skills training and mentoring), to “fiing” the insttutons (implementaton of gender equality plans) towards “fiing” the knowledge (integratng a gender dimension in research methods and content). The GEDII project contributes to the later by eiamining how gender issues afect the collaboratve producton of knowledge by research teams.
Mit dem Hochschulranking nach Gleichstellungsaspekten 2017 legt das Kompetenzzentrum Frauen in Wissenschaft und Forschung CEWS die achte Ausgabe dieses Instruments vor. Die 2015 grundlegend überarbeitete Methodik wurde mit Ausnahme der Auswahl der Hochschulen beibehalten. Seit seiner ersten Erarbeitung im Jahr 2003 hat sich das Ranking als ein Bestandteil der Qualitätssicherung für Gleichstellung an Hochschulen etabliert, das Instrumente wie Evaluationen ergänzt. Das Ranking soll die Entwicklungen der Hochschulen im Bereich der Gleichstellung von Frauen und Männern mit Hilfe quantitativer Indikatoren kontinuierlich vergleichbar und im Abstand von zwei Jahren Veränderungen und Trends sichtbar machen....

Sexual Harassment of Women explores the influence of sexual harassment in academia on the career advancement of women in the scientific, technical, and medical workforce. This report reviews the research on the extent to which women in the fields of science, engineering, and medicine are victimized by sexual harassment and examines the existing information on the extent to which sexual harassment in academia negatively impacts the recruitment, retention, and advancement of women pursuing scientific, engineering, technical, and medical careers. It also identifies and analyzes the policies, strategies and practices that have been the most successful in preventing and addressing sexual harassment in these settings.
American Anthropological Association (AAA) Sexual Harassment and Sexual Assault Policy (PDF) sets out an expectation of responsible professional conduct. It exists in tandem with AAA’s Principles of Professional Responsibility, which is intended to cover all professional behavior of AAA members, staff, volunteers, contractors, exhibitors, and sponsors. This Policy also applies to any non-member who participates in a AAA program or activity. AAA-sponsored programs and activities include, but are not limited to: meetings, publications, honors and recognition, and governance programs, and all appointed, elected, and volunteer positions.
